Phoebe Louise Smith

Yorkshire Soprano Phoebe Smith holds a Master of Arts degree (Distinction) from The Royal Academy of Music. Phoebe started working as a teacher going into schools with opera and song companies delivering workshops.

Phoebe believes in creating a positive environment where students of any level can develop a healthy and confident sound. Her students look at building technique and musicality during the lessons with exercises and songs.

Recent performing highlights include, singing the eponymous role in Princess Ida with The National G&S Opera Company, where she was praised for her “purity of voice and amazing breath control” (Seen and Heard). In 2025 she also covered the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus at The Grange Festival, as well as numerous engagements on the concert platform. Recent operatic highlights include ETO’s Snowmaiden and playing Milly in The Wellies and Josephine HMS Pinafore with The National G&S Opera Company.
